It's about psychology

How do you read someone you've just met for the first time?

Is this related to a psychology course or is it just a general question?

If it's the latter, then it probably shouldn't be in 'study help' but I'll answer it anyway.

I'm studying psychology but I've read people years before I started and is probably what made me interested in psychology. I think it's something you just have or you don't. I'm generally distrusting of people so it makes me question their motives and I sometimes want to understand why someone may be behaving a certain way (something may have happened in their past). Studying psychology however has made me appreciate that everyone has gone through something and sometimes when people behave like a **** to you, it's probably because there is a subconscious memory that's influencing their behaviour and if a situation is similar to a past one, they can project those feelings into the present. It helps you be aware of when you may be projecting something unrelated into a present situation and recognising it and apologising to people can be a very helpful thing.
