I think that irrespective of your background, you will become an immunologist after this degree. You will become a doctor in immunology when you complete a PhD in immunology after this course. What is the reason for this question?

Because I thought that to work directly with the patients you need a medicine degree. Or maybe I'm confusing

This course is not a medical degree. You will need an MBChB or MBBS or MD degree before you can treat patients. The MSc and PhD are academic degrees for research.

Hello everyone! I've been offered a place yesterday I'm studying Biological sciences and I'm an international student. My questions on the interview were about my personal statement, my research experience and immunology like for example describe in details mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity, MHC presentation to T cells, types of T cells and of ILC, activation of B cells, function of iNKT cells and γδ T cells, central and peripheral tolerance and a question on bare lymphocyte syndrome.
Good luck to everyone!

So the difference is that a medic with an immunology specialisation can treat patients while with this one degree you can't ?

Yes. You need to be a medical professional before you can treat patients.

Hi all, I am an international student from the States. I just wanted to share that I received an offer this past Monday.
I did my interview on the 30th of January (I believe they said I was the first person they interview). Good luck to you all and I hope you hear back soon!

So it seems. I guess we're just waiting on an email from the admissions office to put us out of our misery.

Hi everyone! Glad to find this forum.

I just got my offer yesterday, and was interviewed this past Monday.
For you who also just got the offer, have you confirmed to Dr. Eleanor Wilson about taking up the place?
Would you please share what happened after that? I read something about a contract in my offer letter and feel pretty much daunted with that word, lol.
What kind of contract they give you? Thanks!
