Career help

Is there any resources I could use to decide what career is best for me and then what part I should take to get there ie uni or apprentechip. I am thinking about working in finance at the moment. Currently doing a levels in y12 maths history and law.
so ultimately it's down to who you are and I know that's not the most helpful piece of advice but it's the most truthful
my sixth for provided me with these websites when we first started, they could go either you an idea of what kind of stuff you can go into, some of them you may of never heard of. just look around and if something seems vaguely i teresting add it to a list and look into it. if anything this may just give you and idea of what you definitely do NOT want to do (which is just as important)

i also highly recommend singing up to What uni. it helped me alot with chosing my specific courses, writing my personal statement, interview practice, ect. ect. it's great as it let's you to compare directly.

as to whether uni or apprenticeship they both have they're advantages and disadvantage.
from my point of view (and I am by no means an expert) I find that a uni degree is alot more flexible and if you don't know what you want to do, a fairly broad degree will help you in many different fields, however it is an expensive decision. apprenticeships on the other hand aren't pricy at all- infact you get paid for them. they are great but really only if you know what you want to do.

I recvomend doing some taster courses once you narrow down your search and try some work experience if you decide to go down the apprentice route

sorry for the length hope it helps xx
