I've basically spent all day everyday for the last year trying to kill time playing the same games over and over, watching YouTube and Netflix for hours and hours bored but distracted, and buying stuff for the sake of buying. Now I've decided that that kind of life is unhealthy but I have no idea what to do. As soon as there is nothing to do my body instinctively reaches for my tablet to go to YouTube, but now I'm just kinda clueless about what people actually do except watch TV/Netflix, watch youtube and play games. I don't really have any friends who go out or even if I did where to go out to, and I'm so sick and tired of playing video games And watching stuff. Any fun suggestions not to kill time but to actually have fun?

Play some sport? Join a club to improve your skills, health and kill boredom...
This is going to sound super nerdy, but when I am bored, I have an anatomy app on my phone that is fun to flick through.,

A sports club

or maybe even a music club if you play an instrument or sing

We don't have any clubs at my college and I don't really have enough money to learn to play an instrument or anyone to go to the gym or swimming with. I work, but most of that money pays for my driving lessons and textbooks so I'm stuck with free ways to make fun for myself

Start going to a local martial arts gym. I started judo years ago to feel more productive and fit. In a sense it almost feels like a game when learning new moves and technique, and the satisfaction of getting a higher belt is literally like ranking up in real life lmao.. plus that self-defence will definatley come in handy one day.

if you have a bike, cycling is an option.
if not, grab a pair of trainers and go for a run!

I'm 17 in year 13. We dont actually have any clubs at my college though so it's a bit difficult to find ways to socialise

Your case is basically similar to mine and thousands if not millions of people on the planet. General advice you will hear is try something new, join a club\society, start a new hobby, volunteer in local area, and finally the most cliche of all is do something you like.

Start a club then! You can be the change. it can as random as starting a cards club to something more productive like school newsletter. Why not search for a job? You need to fund your future after all

can relate i disabled internet browser and deleted yt app and other apps on phone after seeing how many hours i waste on it everyday and week
i think this is what many of us are moving towards now - detaching from smartphones and technology
so id say do this. then pick up some new activities like gym, reading books on stuff on itnerest and things like money, business, all books men should read type books. meditation. nofap lifestyle of course
