What is difference between geology and geology engineering?
Geology is essentially the study of the Earth and its structure (and that of the other planets), and involves subjects such as petrology, mineralogy, geophysics and geochemistry. Engineering geology refers to the application of geology to engineering, for example looking at how ground conditions will affect/be affected by structures such as roads, tunnels, pipelines, buildings and mines, ways to minimise coastal flooding/erosion, safe disposal of radioactive waste, and mitigation of hazards such as landslides
