Social Policy and Sociology?

I've decided to apply for social policy and sociology at 3 uni's and sociology at 3, how do I phrase why I want to study this without mentioning the exact course titles? The courses are very similar and my reasons for choosing the subject is the same, so the content of my PS isn't a problem, but what about where I say "I want to study....because...."
(don't worry, I haven't phrased it like that! :tongue:

I would prefer all my choices to be for social policy and sociology, but my choices are confined to uni's that are relatively close to my house and not all of them offer it.

My A-levels are part time so I only really get to see my tutor once a week to ask for advice!
