The media aren't Islamophobic at all - it is a lobby for Muslims

The left-wing literally acts as a lobby for the Muslim community - you saw it with the BBC's portrayal of the "South Asian" community in Doctor Who, and practically every other Guardian article sympathises with them.

The likes of the Daily Mail and Daily Express aren't Islamophobic either. They only attack Islam over certain issues like jihad or sharia law. There's nothing wrong with attacking Islam over these issues.

And none of the media are reporting on South Asian politics from the opposing side (e.g. Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs...) - you get a few small far-right outlets but that's it. The media is just racist against Indians now.

I’d definitely agree. There’s obviously many problems with aspects of the Islamic community in the Uk and it shouldn’t be islamophobic to acknowledge these issues.

I don’t know if the news should really be focusing a lot on non-muslim south Asians since there aren’t really problems in those communities, they tend to be fairly well educated aren’t disproportionately responsible for much crime or disorder. What I would say is that the media often treats non-Muslim south Asians as being equivalent to the Muslim communities. For example when grooming gangs are called “Asian” instead of Pakistani or Muslim. There isn’t much the two communities have in common except geography and food.

How is it racist against Indians? Maybe some elements do support Muslims and Islam but it’s not like they go around saying Indians are bad, they’re our enemies etc
