Back from exchange program, Looking for short term lets!

I need a place to rent from January or February 2019 as I'm coming back from an exchange term abroad. I've started contacting student halls and other student accommodation but have yet to find anything. Please tell me if you know any place with available rooms around that time. If you're aware of a student doing an exchange at our uni leaving the same time I'm coming back, it would be of tremendous help if you could ask where they'd been staying for the term so I could maybe move in when they move out!
