Having recently submitted my first assignment in my law degree I received a mark of 56/100. In my feedback I was informed that my understanding of the law relevant to the scenario (it was a problem question) was sound, and that there was no problem there. Apparently the structure of my answer was the problem however.

The issue I have with this is that we were provided with an example of a good answer structure to a problem question in a lecture, and I followed it to an absolute point, laying out my answer in the same manner.

How is it that we can be provided with examples of structure like this, and when we use them we are peanalised for the structure itself?
