    hey,
I am doing 4 subjects right now: maths, bio, chem and econ. I want to do dentistry and uni's only need 3 A levels. i am getting A'S in maths, biology and chemistry but i m getting C's and D's in economics. I want to keep economics and get an AS because it looks good and also increases UCAS points. However, i think there is no point in getting a bad AS in economics. Should i work hard and get an economics AS level or just drop it ? (i dont want to drop it because i dont want a lower UCAS points). Please give me an honest opinion.

    thank you.

3As will be enough to get you to a top uni. I would suggest just dropping Econ

thanks but if my UCAS points are lower then will top uni's still accept me? dentistry is a competitive field so some people suggest to get as much UCAS points as possible.

What unis are you considering? As far as I know, most unis no longer use UCAS points. If you're considering KCL (top for dentistry) the grade requirements are A*AA, so no you don't need a fourth subject that is not even related to densitry. Instead, I would suggest you prepare well for the test and interview, and gain work experience. That way you will stand out more.
