This evening it took me 3 hours to get home because of "signal failure" on the Piccadilly Line even though the signal failure happened at Chiswick Park which is not a Piccadilly Line station. I felt annoyed at first, especially after a long day at work. Then I became angry because there is always something wrong with that line. I felt like throwing my phone into the train wall (only because I was holding it in my hands at the time). Then, for some reason, my phone died.

So what do you do when you get or are feeling angry?

Strangle a few kittens and kick a few kids down the stairs. Nothing extreme

If it's not one in particular causing this (like in your case train times)

just take deep breathes and look for the positives

Hmm... sounds like good ideas. Might try doing something similar. I do enjoy seeing other people suffer.

I tried taking deep breathes for many years and I tried looking for the positives. The breathes didn't work and there were no positives to be found. Oh well....

Normally I am. I'm just more tired and weary these days.

I just distract myself. Podcasts mainly, it's like getting immersed in a stimulating conversation but without the effort
If I'm sitting down then some comedy show or something, harder to get mad that way

I stop, breathe and acknowledge the thoughts and feelings that are arising in me. I become the awareness behind the feeling and realise that it only exists because I am allowing it to do so. Then I let that sh*t go.
