Edexcel M1 Statics: Action of Force in the same vertical Plane

Hi, Regarding this statement, "Line of action of force is in the same vertical plane as the line of greatest slope of the inclined plane". I understand what is meant by "line of greatest slope of the inclined plane" but I don't understand "action of force in same vertical plane".
The following two images are of two questions with same phrasings but have a different diagram drawn.
Plz explain the meaning of the phrase "action of force in same vertical plane..." and explain why the two questions below with the same phrases have different diagrams??
