Hi - sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. I'm just going to bump the thread in the hope that someone sees this and can help :h:

Why do I this?

My son is starting this course this year and his accommodation is amazing. He has a room at George and Crown Yard, by far the nicest rooms we saw. His Dad and i had a long chat with a 3rd year student on an open day and the course sounds amazing. He has loved it and has gained a lot of work through the college. My son loved the open day and said the people are amazing he was going to do the Live Events course but the Academy persuaded him to change to the Stage Management course instead because of his background. But he can't wait to go and because of his dyslexia the university could not be more helpful. Hope this helped. He is really excited to be going and is really looking forward to it. Hope this helped.

For new students starting Sept 20, just be careful and make sure this place is for you. High drop out rate on Live Events, bullying lecturers, work experience doesn't materialise. Hard living so far away from the Academy and relying on awful train service. Limited support, few outside activities, you are left to get on with everything- more like paying to be an apprentice than university. Very disappointed and will not return after Year 1 - many people won't be returning.
