Loads of people wear them at our university. More the subjects one thou, Because like all unis we have masses of sexual innuendos on the back of them masked as logos. Althou the Official Uni ones are common, But mainly with freshers.

I see! Haha.
*Fool'sGold*
I'd love to wear one, wherever I end up. But are they seen as "sad"? I mean, we used to have fleeces at school with the school logo on, they were optional, but only the geeky people ever wore them.

Is it the same at university, or are people simply proud of their university and so like to wear them?

It's not so much geeky as cliquey. People generally have university society-embroidered hoodies rather than plain ones, to identify themselves as part of a subculture.

If you want to wear one, wear one. I personally caution against wearing one at home/off campus though, as having 'student' written across you is not generally a good idea in some areas.

I have two

I have a general university one and a Tap and Ballet Society one

They're both black with the crest on, white writing on the back and the hood inside is red

If I join the Tap and Ballet society again next year I think I might get a new one, if they dont have 'team' on the back, cause were not a team, we dont compete!

Also, I feel special cause Chester is the only UK university to have a Tap and Ballet Society, other uni's have dance societies but not specialist ones  Or so I was told :p:

Specialist as having Tap & Ballet together? :smile:We have Uhm.. Ballroom and latin Heh!
That UCL woman looks angry at being made to wear that fleece... thing! Lol who would pay £40 for it?!

I want a uni hoodie... Mainly cos I'm planning on joining a few clubs and it's so much easier to have something to chuck on after training rather than actually having to think. And also because I errr just want one!

Hoodies are definately great when you have a 9am, went out the night before and cant be arsed to get dressed properly!!
I think Uni hoodies go well with Canterburys and Uggs, completes the look.

No, I think that the Tap and Ballet is cause no one else has a tap and ballet society :p:

I'd love to know if anyone else has

Our captains are standing down this year, on the one condition we dont change the name of it, because they set it up :p:
Will probably get some university and college clothing. Won't get a hoodie though as I have three decent ones. Heard Durham do college gear but is not available online to look at so will investigate this. I am planning on buying Durham's rugby (union) shirt though.

i have 2 (old uni and sheff). but i only wear them for if i'm inside and too cold, or nipping to the shops. will probs feel obliged to get a UCL one in sept too
Hmm if LSE do subject ones I might be interested :p: Some university/college scarves are nice too. Then you're not identifying yourself as a student as such, but people who know them recognise them.

Wanted to take a look at what the Warwick hoodies were like when I stumbled across this rather unfortunate item of merchandising! I'm gutted that there isn't a picture!!

I'll buy one almost definitely; and yup, will wear it when I'm so hungover/tired/in a sex coma that I can't think, and just need to shove on the first thing I reach out to.
I definately want one. The only way I can tell when the uni term starts in Lincoln is when the Lincoln hoodies appear and the other uni ones disappear.

I think I want a Medic one more than a generic Aberdeen Uni one tho... although I'll probably end up buying both.
