I was prescribed citalopram by my GP in 2017 for depression and after taking it for a year, I had to stop as I was getting unbearable stomach pain and indigestion. An endoscopy showed that I have chronic gastritis and possible gastroparesis for which there is no cure.
Am I able to make a claim against the citalopram manufacturer as this drug has ruined my life?

Thank you.

Of course not. Did you read the patient information sheet with the medicine? It's there as a recognised side effect.
