So we know that the ratio of sheep to pigs is 12:2
We know that there are 150 more sheep than pigs
if we remove 2 units from both sides (the number of pigs from sheep) we know that 150 sheep = 10 ratio units
See if you can do it now

Spoiler:
Show

1 ratio unit is 15 animals

Therefore there are 45 cows

(180:45:30)
