Work sick pay temp contract

Been working at Waitrose for only 4 weeks on a temporary contact no end date . Just broken thumb signed off 8 weeks minimum as work nights stacking shelves. Need advice as regards to sick pay .

Check your contract but I presume you would only get statutory sick pay which only kicks in after 4 days off sick. It's only about £92 a week.

Has your employer said anything about your absence?

Been told contract ends 26th Jan I won't be fit for work by then so told to claim ssp been given a number to sort myself .
