ALEVELS-PHYSICS-JAN EXMAS-MOMENTUM MCQ...help!!

MCQ 1
the answer is D
i thought it was C becuase wont we just take 40(5)/0.2
becuse the time given 0.2s is just till wen it touches the tramploine
rebounds with the same speed with opposite direction

so initial veloicty is 5 ms-1
final velocity is -5ms-1
change in momentum = 40 x (5 - (-5) ) = 40 x 10 = 400 Ns

force = change in momentum / time = 400/0.2 = 2000N so D

What about rebound speed? Where have you included that?

Please stop giving full solutions BobbJo - I just gave a hint which is for better for the OP. It's great you want to help but please stop doing questions for people.

It's not maths forum there is no such rule here

And they already have the ms and the answer

I understand hints but not many people have time for a continuous back and forth conversation

My hint was enough for the OP to realise their mistake ...your post was not there when I posted.

chill out bro!
before asking..i try the question multiple times
we have the answer to the solutions already in the form of marking schemes..but sometimes i dont get what it means..
i think giving full solutions is less time taking and frustrating after you spend an hour on a question
also, i don't think there is any harm in posting full solutions as long as the person is not making a wrong use
