how do exams work at gcse

Can you have more than one GCSE exam in one day?
yes
You can and likely will if you’re doing lots of subjects. I did 10 GCSEs and think I only had two exams on their own in a day. The same can also happen at A-level. Not only can they be on the same day, but they can be at the same time - your school will accommodate for this though. But everyone will be equally ‘disadvantaged’ because of this so don’t worry about it too much.

You can and most people do have 2 on some days. If you have 2 with the same scheduled start time (i.e. 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon) then you have to do them ne after another with only a short supervised break under exam conditions between them unless they total more than 3 hours. If that happens then you are allowed to move one to the other session in the day and have to be supervised between finishing one and starting the other. You can revise in that time.
