How can you know if you can trust a guy to be in a relationship with him?

I've never been in a relationship even though I want to be but how can I trust someone to be in a relationship with them? I don't want a guy to mess me about, I'm looking for a long term relationship.

If you trust him...

There's really no two ways about it. If you trust someone enough to think about being in a relationship with them, then they're probably trustworthy.

You can never know for certain how the future will turn out.
With romantic relationships, the best thing you can do is trust your gut instinct and be open to finding the right partner for you.
If you only want a long term relationship- avoid the most hot guys, f*** boys and fwb fans who prefer no string sex to anything long term.

Trust is earnt by how a person behaves, no one automatically deserves it. Move slowly and see how situations develop. NEVER be afraid to say no or that you are not ready for anything.
