Do you prefer your colleagues to be male or female? Watch

I think as a female having male colleagues is interesting as the types of conversations/way of working can be a bit different. Males tend to be more direct in their approaches/telling you what they want from you whereas with females (from my experience) there tends to be gossip and more chatting/talking about things that don't really matter. Of course its just a generalisation, Ive worked with women who are quiet and direct and men who talk utter **** all day.

My question is though, do you tend to enjoy working with one sex more than the other and why?

I like working with both.
Whilst ive worked with some women/girls who are lazy, gossips and a bit *****y, ive also worked with quite a few who are great and i get on well with.
Most of the blokes ive worked with are sound. They tend to be less *****y and gossips. A few can talk a lot of ******** though.

Doesn't matter. Personality, work ethic and depth of conversation are things I am concered about. Personally, gender is irrelevant.

I'm not really too bothered either way. If you're good at your job and kind to me then I'm happy

Although I do seem to get on better with girls and can talk to them much more easily compared to other guys.

No preference.
I prefer coworkers who are not vicious or playing office politics to make someone else's life difficult for no good reason.

I work within the Emergency Services.

Quite frankly, as long as my colleague is trained, competent and will have my back and get stuck in if the balloon goes up. I don’t care what’s in their underwear.

I don’t normally pick my conversations on the gender of the person I’m speaking to either. It depends on the person, there are somethings I talk about I wouldn’t get away with, with certain people and others which it would be perfectly acceptable. Again this is knowing your audience not necessarily their gender.

Ideally a bit of both, sometimes males in an office environment can be less gossips than us females though I get on with both.
