I had emailed the uni and they said this to me "You have to train to be a nurse. So theoretically you do 3 years as a student nurse you then would need to consolidate for a minimum of 6 months. At present SCPHN courses are seconded by a Trust, so you might for interest, want to log onto the NHS job site and set up an alert for a Health Visitor post; student HV post to see what they are asking for and what the role entails".

So does that mean after I finish studying college do I apply for a training nurse job for 3 years and the after go uni to do SCPHN for 1 year?

You’ll need to study nursing at university first to become a registered nurse. Then find a student HV post and complete the SCHPN course as part of the student HV post.
