Why is Law different in parts of the UK e.g Scotland and England

Because the Scottish Criminal Legal system has 3 out comes. Guilty, not guilty and not proven.

The English legal system only has two guilty or not guilty

Most other laws are the same it’s just the Criminal side that differs

Because the Treaty of Union gave Scotland its own Judicial System.
