Is there a correlation between rankings in Tompkins table, and the difficulty to get into? (i.e. higher ranking in Tompkins, harder to get in)?

(Obligatory "your chances of getting into the university as a whole are the same regardless of which college you apply to, due to the pooling system")

Not really. The bottom of the table tends to contain a lot of the undersubscribed colleges that take more applicants from the pool (mature ones, all-female ones, far away ones) and Trinity is usually near the top, but there's not much of a correlation beyond that.

The hardest college to get into is the one you don't apply to.

(Unless, of course, you get pooled there... oh the irony...)

It's certainly too hard if you don't apply.

Do you prefer Trinity? Their entry requirements are generally no higher than the other colleges. And if they don't have a place but you are "good enough for Cambridge" then you can be pooled elsewhere.

Also Trinity does fish from the pool too...

Pick a college you like. But keep in mind there's a roughly 20% chance an offer will come from a different college anyway.
