tom goes on a car journey for the first 20 minutes his average speed is 60mph.He then stops for 20 minutes.he than completes the journey at an average speed of 30mph.The total journey time is 1 hour. draw a distance time graph for his journey. what is the average speed for the whole journey?

the graph is in miles per minute.
the x axis is time taken in minute from 0 to 60. going up in 5s.
the y axis is distance travelled in miles from 0 to 40. going up in 5s.

To find the averages speed, you'll need to find the total distance travelled (you should be able to work each of the three sections out using distance=time*speed)
And then use speed=distance/time for the total distance and time to find the average speed
Let me know if you need any more hints
