I want to apply for a music-based university degree, and was wondering if I would be able to apply for multiple different ones (e.g. music, film music, music production, etc) with the same personal statement + reference. Obviously they're all music courses but they can be quite different in terms of what you study so I was wondering if I need to choose + apply for one specific type of music degree (or very closely related degrees) or if I can do a 'generic' music personal statement which I use to apply to different music degrees such as the examples listed above.

maybe cater it more to your favourite (that is if you have one) or try to cover all aspects - might show you have a wide range of interests in music aside from the course?

From what my music teachers told me, the best choice is to just do straight up music at uni, and then eventually study everything else in your own terms. I totally understand this approach, as the "plain" music course covers the general aspects of music, giving you room to study whatever else you want to study.
