Do you need a Windows laptop as an engineering student? Or is a MacBook fine as well?
If you have a Mac that’s ok but you’ll probably have to sort it out so you can still boot into windows as some software (eg solid works) is windows only. I’d say windows is probably the better option unless you are a dedicated Mac user so would prefer to deal with duel booting and still have a Mac.
