I have applied for primary education and have received some interviews in the near future.
I have to participate in a group discussion with the following questions...
1) What do you think is the most important issue facing education today and why?
2)Should all children be included in mainstream school?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Issues facing education: think of both issues directed from politicians and issues brought in by students themselves. Practically there's a large number of EAL children in primary schools and this is something that staff need to handle, alongside reduced funding in parts of the country coming from central government.
Inclusion: question targeted at special needs fairly clearly here. There is a balance between including SEN children in mainstream since they'll have to integrate into society at some point, and putting SEN children into specialist institutions where they'll get more support, but also more isolation. How far along that spectrum of debate your opinions fall is entirely your own judgement.
Be prepared to change and alter your opinion during the discussion though. It shows you're listening and not stubborn.
