calculation question I made sure I understood all the steps to solving it (like for titrations ) and made sure i fit in as much practise as possible for the exams.

Chemistry was probably the hardest science in my opinion.

I did every CGP paper (they're very cheap and well worth it, btw) including all past papers that the exam board made public. I made 100+ flash cards which were really good if you can make them right; they are basically like mini-tests. Go back to them every now and then to refine your knowledge of even the basic things.

There is lots of math involved with Chem. Make sure you're comfortable with rearranging and unit conversions.

The biggest thing that improved my understanding was understanding the exam questions keywords (ie, the difference between describe, explain, suggest etc). Most of the time you'll find you lose marks from stupid things like that.

Make sure you have a good general knowledge of the topics first and then thoroughly test yourself on them.

Here is some good revision for getting top grades:

Hope this helped, and best of luck in the foreseeable future!

EDIT: for the calculation question I made sure I understood all the steps to solve it (like for titrations ) and made sure I fit in as much practise as possible for the exams.
