I prefer the STV system. It avoids situations such as UKIP getting 4m votes and the Green Party 1m votes but only ending up with 2 MPs between them. many countries can manage with the need for coalition government. I think it will also lead to more women being MPs, and not all the men being white middle age university graduates who have seldom done a non-political job.

I understand though the argument of the certainty of FPTP and in particular that it means you have one local MP.
