(a) Since it's a parallelogram, DA = CB = a AND AB = DC = c. Therefore, since M and N are both midpoints, the vector MN = 0.5*(a-c)
(b) To show CA is parallel to MN, you must show that they are multiples of one another. This is the condition for parallel vectors.
(a) DC = 1.5p (simple ratio)
(b) BC = BA + AD + DC = -p + q + 1.5p = q + 0.5p
