Bournemouth? Is it boring?

I have applied (and got unconditional offers) to Portsmouth, UWE and Bournemouth, to go and do Marketing.
I am a late applicant so i havent had a chance to go to the unis yet.
Does anyone agree with what mos people are saying on here, that 'Bournemouth is boring'? and which of the 3 is
better for things to do day/night (ie whos got better clubs?)
I also hear that Bournemouth and UWE are outside the city. Is this a problem to people who are already there?

I can't offer comment on the universities, but when I went to Bournemouth last year for a couple of days I thoroughly enjoyed it. Depends what you're after really, but Bournemouth is a proper city with plenty of shop and facilities. It's got the sea and the beach, it has a reasonable number of gigs, good transport links. You could worse.

I lived there for 11 years and always thought it was a town...
Supposed to have a wicked nightlife. 35+ clubs etc

not boring at all! The uni is like 10 mins walk or drive from the main town centre, every night something is going on with a range of clubs nd pubs to suit everyone. In the hot summer days theres the beach..... And everyone is luvvvvvvely

Yup, wiki says it's a town. Well it seemed like a city (albeit a small one) when I was there. Hell it has an airport!

You're gonna be the one to make it fun, like that saying goes, only boring people are bored.

I'm hopefully gonna be there, if you decide to go and are ever bored, drop me a line.

I like it loads and it's not boring. The OFS is really big and has loads of stuff on. You've got crank or OFS on monday, bliss on tuesday, elements aka lava on wednesday, toko on thursday, OFS or 20 20 on Friday or Saturday and Snakebite sunday at walkabouts.
That's a night out anyday of the week!
As well there are loads of societies, shops, people and the beach. One campus is like half an hours walk away from town and the other is a ten mnute walk but there are buses back and forth so it's not a problem.

I see nobody's mentions Dylan's Tue pub quiz
I came from Southampton to Bournemouth and I think it's great Propoganda on Saturday at the OFS and Lava's student night on Wednesday are prob my faves
