What quote did you receive for your second year of driving (without black box)??

(This is for those that paid above £2.5k with black box in the first year of driving only please)

Just want to know what I will be expecting

Thanks

I'm afraid everyone else's premiums aren't going to help you work out yours.

I paid £1800 with black box then it went down to £1200 without a black box after 1 year. I then changed cars and got something a bit flashier and pay £1600 now.

£2700 year 1 (Black box)
£850 year 2 (No Black box)

But I was lucky, it may vary differently for you, change your details to a year older with 1 year NCB (as long as you don't claim). To get a general idea.

I'm not looking to work out my quote. I now just want to see the reductions in their quotes

Woah, that sure did jump right down. do you think it is to do with your age?, as i am 18, so i doubt mine will go down like that

I was 19 when I took out my first policy, 20 on 2nd year. However Admiral who quoted me that was the only one who was anywhere near that figure. Every other non telematics policy was 1.5k+

Again, it's not going to be representative of how yours will reduce.

Without a black box
My sister paid 2.5k for her first year (no black box).
She then paid £900 for her 2nd year (no black box).

£2800 first year no box
£3100 second year 1 year NCB (moved house)

I'm ineligible for most black box policies due to a modded car so yeah, but I think I was getting quotes from 3300 to 4k with one as standard so it was actually worse.

Just make no claims... ever, it goes down eventually. Also makes you a very defensive driver.

Again, I'm not trying to see how much my insurance may reduce to. I am just curious as to what others paid.
