Today's vote was on May's Deal for us leaving. It was defeated.

As a result, a Vote of No Confidence has been called in the Government for tomorrow. If that vote passes, then the Government will dissolve and we'll have an election.

New users who make posts like that with their first contribution are rarely worth taking seriously. Given the explicit ignorance shown by "a confidence vote tonight" it seems a clear attempt to provoke argument.

Jesus Christ, me saying the wrong thing clearly means I've got no idea what I'm talking about don't try and twist my words. I use this site for school, thought there would be some people who know what's going on and thought that they could help me. Fml

Thanks for the help, so a vote of no condconfid means wellw have another election choosing whether we leave or not. But surely that means that democracy is non existent in this country in terms of this vote and it's actually the politicians who hold all the power?

Thanks for the reply, what does this mean tho? Does it mean that Brexit is no longer happening and that May isn't in charge anymore?

It depends. We don't know yet (if the VONC passes) what the parties will say they're going to commit to as part of the election campaign. So it tough to say for sure what people would be voting on.

As to your second point, you'll have to explain further what you mean. In terms of which vote does it mean we no longer have democracy?

Brexit is still happening but we don’t have a deal
May is still in charge. She won’t be if she doesn’t pass the vote tomorrow
