LPC exams - TC

Hi all,

Just to preface by saying I have not failed the LPC/lost my TC (I’ve only taken a couple of exams so far and have no idea about the results yet) but I’ve been thinking...

If you had a TC in place which was revoked after failing a module on the LPC, how would you pay the firm back who sponsored you?

Bit random I know!

Im doing the LPC myself too but dont have TC, but did the firm say you are required to pay them back should you fail? Perhaps make an agreement to pay them back in installments as soon as you get income / job?

Cant be of much help on this to be honest, since I dont have a TC or know much about this finance stuff.

Thanks for the reply!

The agreement just says if you don’t start the TC (but doesn’t specify for what reason) you need to pay back the fees. This is understandable, but just wondered how you would cobble together £16k!

How are you finding the LPC? Have you been doing exams this week?

Ouch! But do they require it to be paid back immediately? In any case, it would be definietely worth to agree with your firm with a payment plan. In terms of paying back you could also ask your family members to help out too. Again im not sure about paying them back.

As for LPC, had BLP, prof conduct, litigation exams last week (open book). I feel I may have done poorly and perhaps even failed BLP (hoping not the case) since I panicked in thethe exam. But rest of the exams went fine. Though, I have a few complaints about the way my LPC provider doing the LPC . But so far all is well.

My electives starts next week. But my provider doesnt do the 1 main elective I want to do and so I chosen something else really.

What about you?

You're not gonna fail the LPC.

I have failed three of my module on the LPC due to personal family problems. I have intermitted a year and will be retaking.Could someone advise the best thing to do next. Should I just restart the whole LPC and try harder to get a commendation to secure a TC? Will that bypass my grade being capped to a pass mark by starting the course afresh again? How do firms look at someone who has a ABB, 2:2, and a pass in LPC - I have a LLM and doing the Msc in business law too but doubt that will help much.
