Can you create a student bank account with the ucas code and whatnot before you’ve applied for your loan?

Banks are completely independent of SFE.

Yes.

The bank will ask for proof of student status/a place so you'll need to give them your UCAS status code (not all banks use this) or an AS12 letter from UCAS confirming your unconditional place.

Was it a student account with additional benefits/incentives?

Hi Shauna,

We do not have any information about this. I would recommend speaking to the bank directly.
