Hello! I know that Cambridge looks at GCSEs in context of the school you took them in and how you performed in comparison to your school. I was just wondering what this means specifically because in comparison to the people I was at school with, I think that overall I was above average in terms of GCSE scores. However, my school isn't a bad school and they had a 70% A*/A rate at GCSEs. Does that mean that if I got 6A* and 5As at school I would be viewed as doing averagely? I understand that its hard to judge but I was just looking for other peoples opinion on this. Ultimately, I am looking to apply to Cambridge and I know that they look at your application holistically but I don't want to get my hopes up and then be let down by GCSEs.
