So, I dropped Psychology at the beginning of this term and have begun History. I had to do an exam after studying the course, I’m really far behind the rest of the class but on the essay I did do I got 8/20 - which isn’t good but considering I have never written a History essay before and had 3 weeks to learn the whole course (which I did not do properly, I did it in about 3 days).

I think I am especially struggling because I don’t understand very much about the world, History wise, I just don’t know what to do.

I’ll probably get no response but I am really concerned I won’t be able to achieve an A.

Dropping it is not an option, I enjoy the other components too much, specifically I find the British Empire aspect really difficult.

Also I’m Year 12.

Thanks in advance

There's some good advice on writing history essays in one of the stickied threads in the Studying History section.
