Social influence is about the way an individual’s opinions and behaviour is affected by other people. This can happen intentionally or unintentionally.
There are 4 aspects to social influence.
Conformity. Minority influence. Obedience and social change.
Key study is: Asch (1951). Look up Asch Conformity Study.
Also, look at Milgram’s obedience study, and Zimbardo.
