I have been struggling mentally recently and mt adviser suggested I go back to the gp amongst other things. Honestly I just don't know what they would do at this point. I'm fed up of having antidepressants of different type and strength just chucked at me and no one actually takes the time to listen.

Realistically I want and need a psychiatrist referral as my mental health is complex and it needs a proper diagnosis so I can get the right treatment but i just feel with the NHS in the state it is in, that's never going to happen.

Is it worth even bothering?

instead of reaching for the hardcore drugs. cut out all the bs things. cut out smartphones, internet, video games, porn, social media, netflix, alcohol, etc. and instead workout 3x a week, eat clean, socialise but not with alcohol, read , meditation, do something productive, learn skills, sleep etc. i had anxeity and the offer of hardcore drugs were thrown at me but i thought nah ill just become some zombie slave to them. so i just cleaned myself up. and cutting it all out. esp the smartphone and porn. feels good feels liberating. and i question why is mh such a big deal, why inc, what is it, cant just be millennials are soft etc. must be technology has to be. brains arent ready for this hyper stimulating, instant gratification culture

Go to your GP and state you would like to be referred to the local community mental health team.
