Duration of award?

Hi,

I am applying for
Statement of Comparability of my qualificatons on NARIC website and I got to a field where it
is asking me 'Duration of award in years and in months?'

This is after I filled in my title of qualification,
institution, and year of award.

Does it mean for how long I studied the course?

In my case, I shifted to a different course so I had some credit transfered and instead of studying 4 years, i only did this course for 3 years?

Which should I write on this field "duration of award..?'
