I need a grade five in one of my English’s to be accepted into my sixth form. I really struggle with A Christmas Carol, Macbeth and the unseen poetry. Any advice?

Be a bit more specific with what part you struggle with or in what way

There are two main things. The first being when I have to write about how X is shown in the extract and throughout the whole play/novella (30 marks). The second being unseen poetry. I have to pull out so much from the text within a few minutes and then write pages about it.

I don’t struggle that much with An Inspector Calls as I actually find it interesting and easier to understand, it’s mainly A Christmas Carol and Macbeth.
