Hello,

Thank you for your question. The typical entry requirements for Primary and Early Years Education course are BBB at A Level, or equivalent qualifications. Thus BTECs or other international qualifications are accepted. If you qualify for a contextual offer, the entry requirements drop to BBC-BCC, or equivalent. Let me know if you would like to find out more about what contextual offers are . In terms of GCSEs (or equivalent), English language, Mathematics and Science is required at grade 4 (grade C) or above. This course also includes an interview before you can be offered a place, but those tend to very informal and absolutely nothing to stress about!

I would encourage you to check out this site: https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/apply/primary-early-years-education, which gives you more information about the specific the application procedure for Primary Education course. If you have further queries or concerns, you can message @University of Sussex Undergraduate Enquiries. Alternatively, you can email the Sussex University Department of Education: [email protected].

Let me know if you have any questions I might be able to help answer.

Best Wishes,
Kasia (4th Year Medical Neuroscience Student MSci with a Year Abroad)
