Is there anyone on here that is currently studying Graphic Design in uni or college?

If so what is it like? I'm 19 and I am just working, looking at different options to get back into study.

Is it worth studying? Is there anyone currently employed as a graphic designer in the UK here?

It seems like a fun job and I've designed a logo for a friend before, im very uncertain about the likelyhood I'll find a job after though. Art is a weird field to wander in after all.

Hi there asiandesigner,

I currently study Photography at Plymouth College of Art, where we offer a BA(Hons) Graphic Design course.

If you are unsure of what you'd like to do in future but think a creative course/career may be something you'd be interested in, perhaps a Foundation Diploma would help - I completed a UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design before my degree and it helped me to decide between Photography and Fine Art, gave me loads of experience and new skills as well as heaps of confidence.

Hopefully this advice is of use to you, but feel free to ask me anything else you think I may be able to help with!

Hope this helps,
Second Year BA(Hons) Photography Student and Student Ambassador at Plymouth College of Art

People at uni: do initiations (like heavy drinking) put you off joining sports societies?

Yes (160)
No (80)
