Es importante que + subj
Es necesario que + subj
Si + imperfect subj + conditional e.g. "si ganara la loteria, compraria una casa" (bold are where accents should be) or "si tuviera que vivir en un pais extranjero, viviria en Argentina"
These ones are pretty standard ways of getting subjunctives into your work.

You use it after 'quizas' aswell and when you want something so...

"ya sea de día o de noche" - be it day or night
"ojalá pudiera" - if only I could...

We also use the subjunctive in negative imperative sentences:
No vengas tarde esta noche -- don't come late tonight
No vengas tarde esta noche -- don't come late tonight
