i want to be a primary school teacher in the future, so i’m planning to do an undergraduate degree and then a pgce. i’m more interested in sociology, but would it be useful or would it be better to get a degree in something more related to education?

they don’t specify a course recommended, it can be any. i’m just worried that they’ll think of some as better than others if spaces are limited really!

I'm in the same situation as you except I've applied for a sociology degree and will do the pcge after. A sociology degree has a lot more transferable skills than childhood studies, therefore if you change your mind you can also go into something else with a sociology degree. (I personally don't want to just be a teacher, I want to be a journalist as well and a sociology degee can help with that) hope this helped!
