They have been successful in building and maintaining pro-US governments throughout the decades in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, México, Panamá, Guatemala, El Salvador, and so on.

So what makes you think this will go the way Syria has?

Former president "Fat Freddie Mercury" is objectively a bad ruler and it's quite clear that he doesn't have the support of the Venezuelan populous, unlike that time when the US failed to uphold the government that overthrew Chávez.
