Does anyone know any good youtubers or websites for analysing poetry? My exam board is Edexcel. Do you need to know context for poetry (do you need to write about it in your answer)?
Thanks

Thanks entertainmyfaith for the tag.
As for the OP, I have no websites to help really. I think there are some books on Amazon that could help you out, but that's about it really.
To answer your second query, yes. Context is essential for poetry, just as much as it is for the part b question on your Shakespeare play. You should definitely try to integrate it in your paragraphs.

Do you have any ideas on the books I should buy? I saw a few and I'm not sure on which ones to buy.
Thanks

There is a little crossover between AQA and Edexcel's anthologies though. If you find some poems that are in both awarding bodies' anthologies, then Mr Gruff on YouTube has probably done an analysis video on it.

No, sorry. I never used any books for English literature. I don't really have any suggestions. If you have an annotated poetry anthology from class, you can also use that.
