Choose a subject/course
Choose universities you want to apply to (up to 5) and check you are likely to meet their entry requirements
Apply through the UCAS web site
Attend interview if required (most universities don't interview for most courses)
Receive a conditional offer if the university thinks you are a suitable candidate
Complete examinations at school and achieve the required standard, complete any other entry requirements.
Sort out how you are going to pay for it
