I am furious, upset you name it at myself as well as my essay!
time was running out as it is! I couldn't find the student banner to put as the front page, which took me even more time to type it up myself! deadline was at 5am and when it was bang on that time the submit button was no longer there which meant that I had to submit in the late submission link. I go to greenwich, is there any way I could convince my tutor to still accept it as on time and still have a chance of getting over 40% mark?? I could have made it just in time but ended up submitting it 5:01 AM as then I had to change submission links for the late essays
Would really help guys thank you!

But it wasn’t on time. You should have planned your time better. 1 minute, 1 hour. It was still late and it wouldn’t be fair to make exceptions for you for 1 minute any more than someone who was say, an hour late.

Sorry they have deadlines for a reason. It is like tax returns. Thousands of people will be doing their tax return in the next couple of days. And thousands will miss the deadline of 31st January. And thousands will get a late submission fine.

Look it is one essay. It is a valuable lesson to learn and you sure as hell won't do it again

It was late though, otherwise the normal submission link would still have been accessible to you. As other posters have said, they have rules in place for a reason, and making exceptions for you would potentially encourage you or others to submit late in the future, because they can 'get away with it'. If there was a particular type of formatting that your essay needed, you should have factored that in to your writing time, or at least not left it to the last minute to find what you needed. Take it as a lesson learned, and aim to never let it happen again.

The fact you were submitting at 5am will not win you any sympathy, clearly shows poor planning and lack of commitment. Why not just submit without a banner? Would have probably been a small penalty for formatting, smaller than any late submission penalties.
